Guests:
Paul Hempe and Chad Campbell talk to us about their great ZeroW bags made from post-consumer recycled plastic bags. Be fashionable and green!
Rachel Maloney from Natural Built Home concludes her three part series on Green Building. In this last segment, recycled and recyclalable materials are covered as well as the importance of water conservation. Instead of conventional counter top materials consider recycled glass, recycled plastic or recycled paper counter tops. They are all beautiful and made from post-consumer materials. Your old newspapers, wine bottles and milk jugs can be your new kitchen or bath counter top! Did you know that only 1% of the Earth's water is drinkable? Stop flushing it down the toilet! Every drop counts and everyone must work to conserve this precious resource. Switch to low-flow showerhead, install sink aerators and sweep your driveway instead of using the hose. Go green by saving water.

Dark Green Tip #574
Instead of throwing away the hair from your shower drain or your brush, consider putting it out for the birds. The birds love to use the hair to make their new nests. They will also use your pet's hair. One less thing for the landfill!!!
